In order to investigate general public position on Park51controversy, we have analyzed some statistical data collected by CNN and Quinnipiac University.
Many Eyes Data visualisation tool was utilised to create pie charts presenting our research results.

Figure 4 shows the total numbers of places worship in New York City. There is a dramatic prevalence of churches, mosques constituting the minority. This allows us to presume that there might be the lack of prayer room for Muslim residents of NYC, particularly Lower Manhattan residents due to demolition of local church.
Figures 1,2 and 3 show the results of the polls conducted among US residents. You can see that the majority of Americans and New Yorkers are against the construction of Park51 near Ground Zero. Nevertheless, the residents of Manhattan think the Muslim Community Centre should be built.
